Casandra Alexander has completed a title double in Chinese Taipei, winning the Wistron Ladies Open and securing the Ladies European Tour’s season-long Order of Merit with two events to spare.
The South African closed with a bogey-free eight-under-par 64 at Sunrise Golf and Country Club on Sunday, November 1, finishing three shots clear of England’s Hannah Screen.
Rounds of 64, 71, 68 and 64 gave Alexander a 21-under-par total of 267. Screen finished at 18-under after a final-round 66, while Chinese Taipei’s Pei-Ying Tsai and England’s Mimi Rhodes shared third at 17-under.
A Final Round With No Mistakes
Alexander’s closing round matched her opening-day score, but this time it delivered the trophy.
She birdied the third, sixth, ninth and 10th holes before reaching the par-five 13th in two and converting the eagle putt. Further birdies at the 16th and 18th completed a round without a dropped shot.
Screen kept the contest alive with six birdies over her final 10 holes, earning her best finish on the LET.
Three Wins In Five Appearances
The result was Alexander’s third victory in five LET appearances, following wins at the KPMG Women’s Irish Open and Buccellati Ladies Italian Open.
It also took her career tally on the tour to four.
More significantly, the points earned in Chinese Taipei put the Order of Merit beyond her rivals’ reach. With two tournaments remaining, Alexander has already secured the season title.

Kobori Misses The Weekend
New Zealander Momoka Kobori was the lone Kiwi in the field, but rounds of 74 and 71 left her at one-over 145, outside the cut.

The LET’s Asian swing continues at Mission Hills in Shenzhen for the Aramco China Championship from November 5-8.
Alexander will head towards the closing events with the season’s biggest ranking prize already secured.
